Rent Art before you buy

Are you hesitating between several works and want to make sure you make the right choice without taking risks? Are you afraid of getting bored of a particular work?

Then renting a work of art is the perfect solution!

Because there’s nothing more reassuring than seeing what a work of art will look like in your own home, we offer you the chance to try it out in your own home or office by first renting you the work of art. If you are satisfied and wish to purchase it, we will offer you the rental period.

If you don’t like the work, we can simply try a new one until we find one that suits you perfectly.

Art leasing

Leasing is a tax-relief tool that allows you to spread out the purchase of a work of art and become the owner at the end of the monthly repayments.
It preserves your cash flow and your company’s borrowing capacity.

Your advantages:

No capital contribution required

100% tax-deductible monthly payments

100% cash preservation

Preserved borrowing capacity

Purchase option in your own name

Build up your artistic assets at a lower cost

Enhancing the value of the company’s assets

Free valuation of your Artworks

Do you own works of art that you would like to have appraised?

Thanks to our tools and our network, we can give you a high and low estimate on works of art by contemporary artists.

In the case of older works or works by lesser-known artists, we will refer you to specialist auction houses.

We offer you 2 free estimates per year if you are not yet one of our customers, and 5 if you are already one of our customers.

Hanging your Artworks

You don’t have the time or you’re not sure about the right way to hang a work of art?

We install many works of art every day, so we know all about this subject, which can be more difficult to master than it seems. We offer this service because many of our customers have had unpleasant surprises when they hung their works themselves, without taking into account the characteristics of the walls or the mounting brackets.

We have fixings for all types of support and our experience of handling and installing works of art will guarantee you a perfect installation.

We’ll also advise you on the choice of location and lighting, if required.

So there’s nothing for you to do but admire your latest work of art!

Worldwide delivery

We deliver wherever you are!

Each shipment is adapted to the format and fragility of the artwork. The most sensitive artworks travel in wooden crates, custom-made especially for transport.

We respect the properties of the work to ensure that it is free from humidity or acidity during transport, especially if the work travels by cargo.

For the most expensive, fragile and bulky works, we work with companies that specialise exclusively in this particular type of transport. These exceptional service providers also handle shipments for the world’s most prestigious museums.

Each shipment is insured, and the average cost of insurance is estimated at +/- 2% of the price of the work.

You will of course be able to trace the route of each shipment to the place of delivery.

Storage your Artworks

A collection can grow quickly, and walls can’t be extended indefinitely!

So the question often arises:

“where do we store works that we can’t display?”

Unfortunately, due to a lack of experience, many collectors damage their works by packing and storing them in poor conditions.

A number of criteria must be respected to ensure optimal storage, especially over extended periods!

Room temperature, humidity, acidity, choice and quality of packaging, security against theft, absence of pests (insects, parasites, rodents) are all factors that need to be taken into account but are all too often neglected. That’s why we offer you safe storage in optimum conditions for your works, even the most fragile.

Payment facilities

From time to time, our customers fall in love with a work that was not initially in their budget. Fortunately, we have several solutions for this too:

renting the artwork

leasing (particularly for businesses)

payment in instalments

We would like to inform our customers that European art galleries are now subject to KYC (Know Your Customer) rules to combat money laundering. We must therefore collect the identity of each customer for each transaction.

Full set up of your decoration

We work in close collaboration with interior architects and designers to offer complete, made-to-measure interior layouts that perfectly combine furniture and works of art.

We have extensive experience in interior design, particularly for :

hotels

corporate offices

concept stores

private homes and second homes

We’re always on the lookout for unusual places to exhibit, such as dilapidated buildings, ephemeral venues and historic buildings. We’d be delighted to study an original project and transform it into a veritable artistic showcase.

Tax relief

Some countries, such as France, Belgium, Monaco and Luxembourg, use various tax loopholes to reduce the tax base of companies that have generated profits. These mechanisms are the more interesting because it kills two birds with one stone:

save tax…

while building up an art collection at a lower cost

Another potentially interesting mechanism is the free port. Legally, a free port is considered to be a “pre-customs” zone, meaning that the goods physically located there are in “neutral” territory. This means that all handling, processing, resale, storage, inspection, restoration and analysis operations are not subject to VAT.

Storage in free ports has therefore attracted many collectors, international dealers and museums. Although free ports were originally intended for short-term storage, today they have become veritable vaults to which only a few insiders have access. As well as storing many works of art, they are also used for sales. However, as long as the work of art does not leave the free port, no tax is applicable. So as soon as the sale of a work of art takes place in a free port, the transaction is not taxed.Depending on your profile, we can help you build up your collection simply and save you tax at the same time. If your profile is more complex, with the help of our legal experts, we can look into more complex optimisation solutions.

Training, conferences, seminars

The strength of our gallery lies in our advice!

To buy art with confidence, you need to understand a few essential mechanisms and take a minimum interest. Over the years, we have noticed that too few people are aware of the right information and practices, and end up disappointed with their purchases after a few years.

That’s why we like to pass on our passion for art, and demystify this fascinating and complex world to help you make the right decisions.

We therefore offer to share our knowledge in a variety of formats:

Individual support to help you start a collection or develop it further

Popularisation of key art concepts during seminars or workshops

Group discussions on a particular subject

personalised training on subjects of your choice, depending on your level of knowledge and the goal you want to achieve
